ODAWA ANNUAL SUMMER POW WOW

Held annually the last week of May at the Ottawa Municipal Campground.

The Odawa Pow Wow is now in
its 30th year. The first Odawa
Pow Wow was held shortly after the founding of the Odawa Native Friendship Centre, in 1976. The purpose was to create an event that reflected the culture of its diverse Aboriginal community, while reviving the traditional economy of barter and trade that this region is historically known for. The Odawa Pow Wow is a celebration of Aboriginal peoples' culture and survival. A celebration of life. A time to share our music, dance, art, food and to give
thanks to all of Creation.
